I know I become paroled if i enter using AP.
As my H1 extension is pending.. What happens to my H1B status when I return in following scenareos?
1) If H1 approval comes after I arrive
2) If H1 is approved when I am in India.

I would suggest that , fighting against a state will be costly, paying the attorney fees, several rounds of presence.

We were successful in getting good media coverage with flower campaign. Our San Jose rally is getting good regional coverage. Yes, we haven't had the expected success with national media yet but we are gaining traction at an amazing pace.
This is not a big corporation with some PR dept. that is working with hundred of employees writing press releases et al. Volunteers like you and me have to take on that action item if you want to see results otherwise please continue on with your discussion
That is absolutely right, it is our job to write to reporters and call them, if we want good publicity. Please digg, write to reporters, do not just wait on the sidelines and see if we have gotten any coverage. We wont get any by just being on the forums discussing.
On a second note, gsc999 worked very hard organising the San Jose rally, and personally I saw a lot of dedication on his part and some other members. People came upto him and asked him to arrange another rally next week. He answered it very well. Why dont people take ownership and organise things on their own, rather than just giving out suggestions and expecting other people to do the tough work.

Is the Nebraska Service Center fast or is there any other center that is fast. I am filing 140 and 485 together so kindly advice. I don't think the spiral staircase shot ever gets old. Each one has its own characteristics and the varied tones and depths always make for interesting B&W shots. I'm sure it's a rare day that an office stairwell makes a good color shot. ;) I vote that you work the shot from every angle and show us what you came up with.

There's a least three different views, this one is from the top floor where the railing is different (no continuation upwards) from all other floors, and there's one possible view looking up from the bottom floor as well. I'll see what I can do... :)

I recently renewed my license in Oklahoma and was surprised to find out that on top of shorter expiration date, now my license has �TEMPORARY� written across it. This is new rule that OK is applying for non-residents and non-citizens. Has any body else gone thru similar experience? I am outraged that now I will be discriminated every where. DL is used on day to day basis and every body will question me, suspect me as to why �TEMPORARY� is written on my DL. Even DL office was not sure when this new rule was implemented, how come police officers, general public will know about it. I feel ashamed to even show my DL now. I�ll get hard time getting loans etc b/c people will think I may move out any time as I am here �Temporarily�

I agree this crappy bill better not pass and is worse than retrogression. It is screwing everyone at the cost of giving amnesty to illegals. It is such a joke I would have never imagined that they would have the balls to do this, but I guess they are all politicians!!!
It would take 10 years for Illegals to get citizenship under this bill and get voting rights.
But it looks like the exisiting latino group has promised vote to democratic candidate in 2009 for President. And so this bill is so much for illegals. We educated even if become citizen will take a educated decision on who should we vote. So they are screwing us. Politics!

Unless you want to get ready for boilerplate RFEs on the 140 dont go for premium processing. They just issue RFEs to make sure that case is "processed".

Submit the I-94 when you board the flight that leave USA, in your case, Chicago, Not Miami, It is always not advisable to sumbit when you are boarding a connecting, non-Internation flight. For example, what if the International flight is cancelled or you missed, you will be in US, but have already returned your I-94 Also always have copies of all the I-94 for records.

Take copies of your I-94 front and back and then submit them at the airport you board the international flight out of the US. When you come back, you will be filling in a new I-94 based on the latest H1/H4 date which you will show the border officer. (I am only stating this purely when your fly, I don't have experience by land)
